Friends of eTwinning: Meet SALTO-YOUTH

eTwinning Friend SALTO-YOUTH has the aim of researching and developing strategies on youth work, providing resources for youth workers and youth leaders. As a member of Friends Network, SALTO-YOUTH offers resources centres, tools and courses to support organisations and National Agencies.

SALTO-YOUTH is a network of seven resource centres working on European priority areas within the youth field, as part of the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity programmes. This network, through its platform, organises training sessions and contact-making activities to support organisations and National Agencies. Also, SALTO-YOUTH provides non-formal learning resources for youth workers and youth leaders.

SALTO-YOUTH acts as an intermediary between European youth policies, the programmes, and practitioners. For that, SALTO-YOUTH offers several tools like the European Training Calendar, where you can find training activities and seminars run by SALTO and other organisations; the Toolbox for Training that contains hundreds of tools and activity ideas for youth work; the Atlas Partner Finding Platform, which helps you to stay in touch with thousands of youth projects across Europe, with the aim of building strong partnerships and applying for Erasmus +; or Trainers Online for Youth, which offers a directory of over 500 trainers who can deliver international training activities.

Besides, SALTO-YOUTH also has seven resource centres. Each one focuses on a specific topic or region and they have several joint tasks with National Agencies, the European Commission, and other institutions on policies aimed at youth workers.

Moreover, SALTO-YOUTH disseminates, researches, develops and runs strategies on youth work. With the tools it creates, and the learning-focused events, the purpose is to give young people and youth workers an opportunity to learn, develop and thrive.

eTwinning and SALTO-YOUTH have been friends for a long time. In 2017 SALTO-YOUTH contributed to the annual book “Building a culture of inclusion through eTwinning” dealing with educational challenges and bringing example of best practices.
