The eTwinning platform has just reached half a million eTwinners on the portal. To celebrate together, four types of classroom activities will be available for you to choose from and to participate in. These activities include the telephone challenge, straw challenge, speed-drawing challenge and the egg-dropping challenge.
Telephone challenge: Invite your students to make a circle in the classroom and start the game by whispering “collaboration leads to inspiration” statement into their ears. At the end, the statement might come out correct or completely different. Film it and post it on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #500keTwinners.
Straw challenge: Invite students to build a stable and unique structure using straws. This structure can be anything that the students imagine, for instance their idea of a dream classroom. Photograph it and post it on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #500keTwinners.
The speed-drawing challenge: Invite your students to draw, in one or two minutes, a picture in response to the question “what does eTwinning mean to you?” Film it and post it on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #500keTwinners.
The egg-dropping challenge: Invite your students to create a unique contraption around an egg to prevent it from breaking when it is dropped on to the ground. Film it and post it on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #500keTwinners.
These activities focus on teamwork, innovation and collaboration. If you would like to be a part of the most exciting learning community in Europe and celebrate this great achievement, share your peculiar work with us on Facebook and Twitter by using the #500keTwinners hashtag and spread the word!
