eTwinning would like to congratulate the 1,004 schools that have been awarded the eTwinning School Label 2019-2020.
The first year of the eTwinning Schools was full of activities. eTwinning Schools joined the “Empowering eTwinning Schools: Leading, Learning, Sharing” conference in Rome, which aimed to highlight, feature, recognise and promote the key elements that characterise eTwinning Schools so that they can be further nurtured within and beyond the individual school.
Additionally, there was an online course which provided participants with elements that contributed to their personal development and, at the same time, supported them in transforming their schools into mentoring schools at local, national and European level.
Teachers of eTwinning Schools were also invited to join a dedicated Group on eTwinning Live. In this Group, teachers share their expertise and best practices from their schools, stay updated on news for eTwinning Schools and join exclusive online events.
We are delighted to announce that 1,004 schools have been awarded the eTwinning School Label after a two-part application process. These awarded schools are pioneers and are recognised as leaders in areas such as:
- Digital practice
- eSafety practice
- Innovative and creative approaches to pedagogy
- Promoting continuous professional development of staff
- Promoting collaborative learning practices with staff and students
This is not only recognition of personal success of individual teachers but also an acknowledgment of the great achievement of the entire eTwinning team in these schools.
