Spring Day for Europe 2007
To celebrate Spring Day for Europe 2007 and the 50th anniversary of the European Union, run an eTwinning project based on a European kit about art and history.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the European Union! In order to celebrate this special event, an eTwinning project kit called “Pictures Telling Stories about Europe” has been created based on the Spring Day for Europe 2007 initiative.

Dating back to prehistoric times, pictures have always been an effective way to describe life. Building on this means of expression, this kit allows pupils to learn about the history of the EU and how it has affected their countries.  Through the creation of pictures that represent important moments in European history over the last 50 years, pupils learn about their countries’ past and explore the EU’s future in a creative and artistic way.

Spring Day for Europe is an annual citizen-driven initiative aimed to encourage young people to debate, reflect, learn and make their voices heard on European issues. Spring Day, which has already proved to be a success over the past four years, is already a fully-integrated event in the European school calendar.
