eTwinning Conference 2007 |
 |
From 23-25 February 2007, participants from across Europe will come together in Brussels to award this year’s European prize winners and discuss the future of eTwinning. |
 |
Following the success of the 2006 eTwinning Conference in Linz, Austria, the forthcoming “eTwinning Conference 2007: eTwinning Past, Present and Future” in Brussels, Belgium, is ever important as it will further underline the success of the Action. The opening address will be given by Ján Figel, Member of the European Commission in charge of education, training, culture and youth.
From nearly 350 submissions for the eTwinning Prizes 2007, six project winners (three winners and three runners-up) will receive their awards during the prize-giving ceremony. Winning projects will be awarded with a four-day ICT camp at the end of April (venue to be confirmed) for teachers and students to meet their project partners face to face, learn more about online collaborative projects and spend time with other students from across Europe. Runners-up will be invited to participate in one of the European networking and development workshops taking place until June 2007.
In addition, the event will also feature various plenary and training sessions for participants to: discuss the past, present and future of eTwinning in Europe; learn more about eTwinning tools; find out what’s going on at European and national level; and share ideas on how the Action can be further developed.
The event expects to gather approximately 450 participants and will take place at the Brussels Crown Plaza Hotel.
