Annual eTwinning Conference, 14-16 March 2008
This year’s conference is taking place in Bucharest, Romania.

The eTwinning Conference 2008 will be held at the Hotel Grand Rin in Bucharest, Romania, from 14-16 March. The theme of this year’s conference is “Promoting Intercultural Dialogue” and the event will be attended by nearly 400 participants from across Europe.

To launch this important event, Jan Figel’, Member of the European Commission in charge of education, training, culture and youth, will open the Conference followed by a number of plenary discussions with various actors working in education in Europe.

A central activity of the Conference will also be the prize-giving ceremony for the eTwinning Prizes 2008. From over 400 entries, all eight project finalists will be present in Bucharest where the winners and runners-up will be announced and awarded.

In addition, a large exhibition area for finalists and National Support Service (NSS) to showcase their activities, as well as a full programme of workshops on various aspects of eTwinning, are sure to make this an exciting conference.

eTwinning is part of the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme
