Special needs' education
The word special is used to describe something that relates to one particular individual, group or environment. Special also means different from normal. Certain learners have special needs, at certain times, and our educational systems need to respond accordingly. This response has sometimes resulted in exclusion, but in eTwinning, the aim is just the opposite. eTwinning provides good opportunities to involve pupils with special needs who can benefit from webcams, e-mails and exchange of information and pictures on the internet to learn about other cultures and communicate with friends in other countries.
