the aim of the project is to find out similarities through and despite differences, using also but not only, the sensitive language of art. First students exchange information about themselves, their lives, their own schools and cities. The teachers introduce themselves, too. Then each school chooses a meaningful monument of the surrounding area as a witness and story-teller of its past times. Students will learn to listen to the monument as a living stone. They will let it talk and teach through its architecture, sculptures, colours and shapes. They will introduce the monument to their European friends together with a little bit of history and traditions. Finally the students will be able to plan an ideal place where they would like to live for the rest of their lives thanks to their new intercultural and artistic competences. The contribution of each school member of the project will build up this new awareness that all students will share from that moment on.

They will use Power point presentations: one slide each student ( each slide will contain a photo and a short decription). PAIR WORK is suggested -good for the weaker ones-. (Later this written presentation may become a video where students introduce themselves). At this point school exchange information for the first time. INFORMATION EXCHANGE by emails possibly or preferably by the publication of documents and files in the TWINSPACE. 2)Short decription of the students’classroom, school, village/city: tthey will use pictures, power points and/or videos. GROUP WORK : one group is given one single task. At this point schools EXCHANGE INFORMATION for the second time, 3)Presentation of the chosen monument: decription from the outside and the inside. The monument will speak to us through its stones, shapes, forms and symbolic figures as if alive. Students will develop their inside listening skill. A visit to the monument may be planned. Students will use power points, images, pictures etc. If there is time enough some more details about the city history are welcome and so is a final decription of the ideal place to live in in the future (“my ideal place“). THIRD EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AMONG SCHOOLS. 4)Final competition: schools prepare a quiz to test what students have learnt about other countries. FOURTH EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION: FINAL VIDEOCONFERENCE(skype). 5)Sharing: Preparation of boards to be displayed at the end of the year school party. Parents may come to school on a special day : students will be the teachers for one day and will explain their parents what they have learnt from this new European experience.
