eTwinning Learning Events

For the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, a new experience is being offered to eTwinners: the eTwinning Learning Events.

They are short intensive online events on the theme of creativity. There are four events presented by four different experts. Each event will last 4/5 days, which include active work and discussion, followed by 4/5 days of reflection and personal work.  The materials are online and you may access them during your own time. These are not courses in the traditional sense, but more ‘happenings’ where people meet, discuss, share and create. Two of the events will be conducted in English, one in French and one in German.

There will be two rounds of these events. The first round is due to run between March and May 2009 and the second round will take place in the autumn of 2009.

The 4 events topics are:

1.    Podcasting in the creative classroom – In English
This is an interactive event on the use of podcasting in language teaching, music and other subjects– an online How to…! with the emphasis on ‘doing’.

2.    The creative use of media – In English
This event will examine media from various aspects: the creative web, impossible images, media sharing and image reading in a social context. An event full of discussion and learning.

3.    Exploring creativity – In German
The aim of this event is to provide more insight into the topic of creativity, to test your creativity and to discover how you can produce a climate of creativity in your classroom where learning is fun.  An event with lots of interaction and discussion.

4.    Mind- mapping and creative thinking – In French
Do you use mind maps? Join this event to learn how they may be used in your work to assist in the formulation of ideas in a fast and effective way.

To enrol, please click here.  The closing date for enrolment is March 13th. The number of places on each event is limited and you will receive confirmation by email informing you if you got a place or not.

If you don't get a place this time, don't worry! The events will be repeated in the autumn.
