CULTURE IN OUR HANDS 2010- 2011- PRESENTING OUR CULTURAL LANDMARKS 2011 – 2012- PRESERVING OUR TRADITIONAL AND CULTURAL VALUES SUMMARY The aims of the project could be easily figured out only by reading the project title; thus, the participants should realize the importance of the cultural values of their own and of each partner country and, on the other hand, they have the possibility of an active involvement in building the final products and in realizing “paths” between their culture and the others’. During the first year the participants will “create” culture (Presenting our cultural landmarks) and then, in the second one, they will look for some ways of “protecting” it (Preserving our traditional and cultural values). Students will be encouraged to do research about their cultural landmarks, improving their knowledge and their desire of preserving some traditions that are in danger of being forgotten by the present generation, while their teachers will have the chance to find out new information about other cultures and will support the teenagers in their intellectual and practical activities. So, altogether, by working on this project, they have the possibility to learn more means of learning, which is fundamental to the concept of life-long learning.
