I would like to say Hi from Istanbul/Turkey . I have 2 project ideas and I need partners from England, Italy, Greece, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweeden and Finland. Name: The URGENT ONE: There will be 10 countries from Europe this year. I will hire a train on which we will organize the project. The students sleep and have their showers on the compartment cars of the train and eat on the restaurant car of the train. In the morning after the breakfast there will be aeorobic on the activity-wagon. And then morning demonstrations will start. This year the theme is the numbers: Natural Numbers, Rational/Irrational Numbers... Each country will demonstrate to the others how they study "the numbers in their countries" in English. There will be "specific topics for each day" And then we will have lunch. After the lunch there will be math competitions among the schools. And then the dinner and then cinema..We will visit 5 different cities of Turkey: Samsun, Amasya, Sivas, Erzurum and Ankara. And we will be welcomed by the Science College High School Students in these cities.We will organize social responsibility projects altogether: Planting trees in a city, visiting an orphans' dormitory in the other city,cleaning the historical ruins in another city etc. But I am in Europe this week and I will inform you about the programme later.. You will be welcomed in Istanbul and you can come with 10 students 2 or 3 teachers(1 math teacher,1 english teacher,etc)..The students must speak English :)) You will only pay for your travelling costs to/from Istanbul. Subjects: Art, Citizenship, Cross Curricular, Drama, Environmental Education, European Studies, Foreign Languages, Geography, History, History of Culture, Language and Literature, Music, Natural Sciences,Pre-school Subjects, Primary School Subjects Languages: English Pupil's age: 5-19 Tools to be used: Chat, e-mail, Forum, MP3, Other software (Powerpoint, video, pictures and drawings), Video conference, Web publishing Aims: 1. To discover their stories which they have learnt from their Grand-parents. 2. To learn new English words 3. To learn other countries' stories 4. To communicat better with other children Work process: Reviving tales and stories 2. Knowing other coutnries' tales and revive them 3. Making a VIDEO 4. Painting the tale 5. Choosing the stories which they will tell to their grand children by their own with the information they will exchange Expected results: 1. Learning their stories and tales coming from their grand- parents 2. Be more civilised with other children 3. Improving their expressing abilities with the old meaning of the term TALE and leave Computers' games for a while 4. Improving painting abilities We have a group of students (between 5- 19 years-old)and we have the primary and secondary and high school learners of Beykoz Doga Schools ( THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND THE BEST CAMPUS OF THE WORLD)(www.dogacollege.com and www.dogakoleji.com and www.dogakoleji.com/beykozkoleji) We have a children center of our institution (Beykoz Doga Global Children Net) to carry out our projects related to the social responsibilities and children’s entrepreneurship.
