The idea of this project is to help students to communicate in a foreign language and to make new friends by exchanging information about their hometown (Colle di Val d’Elsa in Tuscany) and region. Children will give details about their life in this small centre of Tuscany and will compare it to their new friends. The general aims are: to encourage our students to know and understand different European cultures and improve their knowledge of the English language.

I'm Daniela and I teach Mathematics to pupils from 11 to 19. I'm very curious so I've experienced to teach to young pupils (11-14 SCUOLA MEDIA) and 14-19 aged students (scuola superiore) ,in northeast, north west and centre of Italy, also for some years in private school and some years I work also abroad. I'm very fond of application of Mathematic in normal life and I have many ideas. I've just one involving Pytagora's theorem and geography..... :) it's very nice :) :) :) who is interested in my project?

We are interested in a project concerning the relationship between natural environment and culture. Our school got a national quality label in Environmental Education and, since it is set in Tuscany, we have a beautiful nature and rich historical traditions.
