I teach maths in a high school and I also work part-time on pre-service teacher training courses at University of Bari (Italy). My background and interests are in the fields of mathematics, didactics and the use of new technologies for education, including distance education and Moodle platforms. Project ideas
My projects promote the use of computer supported collaborative learning for mathematics and the use of Open source software (Geogebra, Maxima). Teachers and students from different European countries are involved. The teachers and students share ideas, experiences and didactic materials, produced during the activities of computer laboratories with math software. These results were published on the websites of the participating schools or in the twinspace. (Aims - Bringing together European schools to discuss their experiences. Focusing on the good use of ICT in math teaching. Integration of math software into the mathematics curriculum in a meaningful way. Promotion of school activities that cover math concepts and that can be used as a classroom demonstration, homework, students groupwork, assesment.)
