My name is Lúcia. I'm an English/Portuguese teacher in Colégio de São Miguel - a Catholic school in Fátima, in Portugal. I am working in the school European Club with elementary and upper secondary school students(10/18 year-old students). But as a language teacher I think etwinning and Comenius as all the other Long Life Learning programmes help both students and teachers to become more and more open-minded and eager to discover about all the European and world peoples, languages and cultures. Our students' age range is 10 to18 years old. I would like to work with other European schools to provide my students with the real opportunity to learn more about other cultures and peoples, to provide our students with the great and real experience of practising the foreign languages they learn at school. Moreover this will be a unique opportunity for all of us to share information, culture and experiences in this diverse European Union where we shall be together, work together to live together - "Union in the rich diversity" - Knowledge brings understanding and peace!
