| Andrea Mennella Year 3 Primary School Teacher of English, French (non curricular), History, Geography, ICT, Physical Education at "San Filippo" International Primary School, Città di Castello. Responsible for the Cosmopolis-D.eur.e Project devoted to the developement of the European and International Dimension of Education and Citizenship. I work in close cooperation with the eTwinning Ambassadors of the Umbria Region (central Italy): Mrs. Patrizia Roma, Mrs Maria Teresa Rughi and Mrs Chiara Sabbatini; Mrs Michelina Comegna is our Pedagogical Advisor, Mrs Antonella Bovini our Regional Coordinator (USR Umbria). | Scuola Primaria "San Filippo" is involved in promoting European and international dimension of education. Our students and families come from the various continents and marvellous places of our Planet. Our vision and mission focuses on: a. solidarity, equality, peace education, universal brotherhood, b. researches about European dimension of Education, European Language Portfolio, key competences and lifelong learning skills. c. developing and implementing E.B.E. - Early Bilingual Education (English / Italian) and C.L.I.L. (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodologies. d. implementing the use of the video conference in order to offer our students and families the possibility to practice English, French, Arabic and other languages with Native Speakers. e. establishing a school framework in order to integrate external English language assessment for our students (Fifth Grade). f. Promoting multilingualism and valuing all the cultural identities living in our school. g. reflecting together and considering possibilities for real educational visits, mobility of the professionals, study visits, partnerships for continuing professional training. h. implementing the creative use of the ICT for language and intercultural learning; i. dialoguing, interacting, sitting in a Circle of Peace with peaceful Communities and Nations of the Planet (Indigenous, Christian, Muslim, Sufi, Jewish, Buddhist...)
