| Evagelia Iliou I am a teacher of English as a foreign language interested in learning difficulties, especially dyslexia, and inclusion. Getting to know cultures, tradition and literature as well as the way of life of different European citizens will provide more chances for a better understanding of each other and will enhance the feeling of belonging to a community whose members have much more to share than to separate. This, I believe is vital for an everchanging world overwhelmed by problems, recently financial ones, for the students, especially those at secondary education who will shortly become adults and face the challenge to change the world they live in. We would act irresponsibly if we do not act to unite them and help them open up their wings and fly outside the nest of their home to explore and experiment so that they can become better persons. |

| Exchange of ideas on subjects of interest to the students, expoloration of cultures, literature,history and traditions revelation of common elements across countries, use of information technology, aiming to broaden the students'horizons rendering them responsible to their own learning, including students with difficulties in their literacy development and improving their self-esteem. Developing the role of the teacher to the person who can guide the student to his journey of revelation of knowledge and experiencing active membership of the European community. |
