The project goal is to teach students to look beyond outward appearances. In particular, taking inspiration from everyday reality represented by the school or the town, we want to accustom them to see the Geometry in the world around them and to understand that a same thing can be seen and perceived in different ways, all equally valid and acceptable . This should allow them to improve their critical sense and get them used to assess the reality in a more creative way.

Usually students study Maths, English, Art, History, and so on but in our opinion interdisciplinarity is very important in the learning process. With this project, students should learn to see the world around them differently, not merely seeing what is before their eyes but thinking about what might be behind and beyond the outer form. That should get them used to look at reality in a critical way and to be more creative. ocultar
- Proceso de trabajo: Students have to realise that Geometry is everywhere around us: they have to take a picture of a monument or... más informaciónStudents have to realise that Geometry is everywhere around us: they have to take a picture of a monument or a particular of a building (for instance), upload it with Geogebra and identify the main geometrical shapes. Moreover they have to find out some information about the monument they chose and explain their choice in written and if possible also in a short video in which they present also themselves.
This should take about 2 months, including the contacts with other schools students and the preparation of the videos. Students will be involved because they will work directly in ICT lab and everybody will upload their products at school. Chats and forums could be organized in the morning or also in the evenings, if not possible during the school time. If things go on well and students show they are interested, some other activities will be organized, for instance the students of one school will find some different shapes in the pictures of other schools students. Each partner will be a peer and everybody will contribute to the project
Each partner will contribute to the project based on the level of knowledge acquired so far. The other partners will produce material that can be understood by everyone, including those with a different level of knowledge. We believe that from the comparison and the sharing of knowledge comes the real learning.

Other classes of the same schools could join to the project and, in any case, this project will contribute to improve in each school the teaching methods of the teachers and the creativity and the critical spirit of the students. Moreover students will have a chance to virtually meet some mates living in other geographical areas, better understanding their culture and habits and using English language to speak and to write texts. ocultar
