Noah’s Ark is the name of the project between Malta and Slovakia, Spojena skola Tilgnerova, Bratislava and Dun Gorg Preca Primary School C, Hamrun, Malta respectively. It is about animals and we chose the above title because Noah’s Ark has become a symbol and as such as not remained exclusively with the Bible story we find in Genesis, but it represents the ecological values of defending the eco-system and animal species. The symbol of Noah’s Ark can be related to by Christians who have the Bible as their Holy Book and as such is inspired by a story most children would have heard and love most dearly. Noah will inspire children to love animals and care for them just as he did. As a general rule, children love animals dearly and their love for them will motivate and inspire them to be creative in their writings and in ICT.

Children will write about their pets they would love to have (if there are children who do not have any pets) , giving descriptions, food they eat and how they can take care of their pets. They would list the advantages and disadvantages of having and not having pets. The children will create photo albums with pictures of their pets and adding text in English and in the native languages of Malta and Slovakia. This could be done using Picasa. The children’s writings could be uploaded in a blog together with voices of animals created using voki. The children will also share information about other animals found in both countries, including their habitats and environment in which they live. Writing riddles and producing animal cards with information about each animal will be wonderful way of encouraging children to enhance their interest and the project and in learning in general. The information about animals will be in three languages used in the project. ocultar
