Our aim as teachers is to teach knowledge, to inspire values, to help in developing personalities. Inside and outside the classrooms, we often face incidents, situations and behaviors beyond any expectation and many times without feeling capable of dealing with them. How do we feel then How much are we affected then We plan a project where roles are changing. The pupils do not deal with a subject. They are the subject. They give us motivation, inspiration, positive or negative feelings, fears but joys as well. They give us experience, during our everyday interaction. And we want to record this experience and share it, compare it with other colleagues. We want to write a diary, the diary of a teacher, who could be me, you, he or her, anywhere in Europe.

This approach aims at the improvement of our teaching skills, through a better understanding of the students we are working with and of ourselves, as well. In the meanwhile, we aim: • To improve skills on the use of a foreign language and on IT tools • To create bonds among colleagues around Europe • To identify similarities among teachers-people of different nationality and culture • To reinforce the European dimension of education. We agree on topics concerning incidents, situations and pupils’ behavior, faced inside or outside the classrooms (e.g. lack of motivation-aggressiveness-bulling-discrimination-facing death-depression-sexual behavior etc). 2. We agree on the frequency of submitting our page on the common diary. 3. We write down, in a format of “a page from my diary” the thoughts and feelings, generated by real situations we have dealt with at school, relevant to the chosen topics. 4.
