Vocational High School of Veterinary Medicine, Dobrich is one of the four veterinary schools in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1974 and in its 36 years history over 3000 students has finished their secondary education in it, with a professional degree qualification in the field of veterinary medicine. The school provides a modern course of education, integration of partners both from abroad and home. Our educational activity is supported by an extensive training and testing facilities in a farm complex. Our veterinary medicine school prepares highly qualified veterinary-medical students with a view to prospective needs of our regional and national livestock production. Nowadays, there are 200 students aged 16-19. Training courses: "Veterinary technician" , “Veterinary laboratory assistant“, ”Rural tourism”, “Food and Bevarage technologist” There are 18 classrooms, 5 specialized laboratories, a room for multimedia presentations, 2 computer labs, a practical training lab, a gym and fitness hall, training and experimental center with 2 labs in the farm complex. We possess an own bus that provides students’ daily transportation to school and the training center. The town of Dobrich is situated in Northeast Bulgaria and the administrative centre of Dobrich Province. Dobrich is the eighth most populated town in Bulgaria (100 000), located 30 km west of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, not far from resorts such as Albena, Golden Sands and Balchic, lying about 50 km from the third biggest town in Bulgaria- Varna. The town is known as the ‘capital’ of the fertile land of Dobrudja, the biggest grain-growing region of the country. Welcome to Dobrich!
