I teach Romanian in my little country and I'd like you to know more things about our language. Latin languages ​​are all ​​derived from Latin Vulgaris. It belongs to the Italic subfamily of the Indo-European languages​​, which have more than 700 million native speakers spread all around the world, especially in Europe, South America and Africa. Latin languages family includes: Dalmatian (extincted today, talked on the east coast of the Adriatic until the nineteenth century); Italian; Retroroman (spoken in the southern Switzerland); Sardinian (Sardinia); Occitan (southern France), French (France, Belgium , a part of Switzerland and a part of Canada), Spanish (Spain, without Catalans territory, South America without Brazil, Central America, Mexico, southern USA), Catalan (Pyrenees, Barcelona, Valencia), Portuguese (Portugal , Brazil) and, not least, Romanian.
