Not only astronomers are interested by watching the Moon. This project will mix scientific observations or measurements and research of local traditions or beliefs. Theater plays, songs, poems, artistic photographs will also be imagined by pupils, inspired by the Moon like so many artists before them.Οι αστρονομοι δεν ειναι οι μονοι που ενδιαφερονται γαι το φεγγαρι.Αυτο το εργο θα συνδυασει επιστημονικες μετρησεις ή παρατηρησεις με ποιηματα, τραγουδια, παραδοσεις , δοξασιες ολα σχετικα με τη Σεληνη.Θεατρικά εργα, τραγουδια, ποιηματα, καλλιτεχνικες φωτογραφιες θα ταξιδεψουν τους μαθητες και θα τους εμπνευσουν, οπως εχει το φεγγαρι σε τοσους καλλιτεχνες στο παρελθον.

• Work process: Both artistic and scientific sides will be started at the same time. On one side research of local traditions, beliefs, songs, poems dealing with Moon that will be shared with the partners (around 1 month). First tries of shot composition for artistic photographs can also be done. On the other side, observation of Moon phases, Moon rises and sets during 2 months, pictures of craters with camera and telescop, experiments to measure Moon-Earth distance or Moon size until bad season (november). During winter, imaginating small enigmas on Moon in the form of small theater plays, "inside" experiments like making craters, making models for Moon phases and libration, making a common Moon calendar. This period will also be suitable to meet scientists via videoconference to learn about Moon formation as well for its craters, about influence of Moon on oceans, plants growth and natural disasters. Spring will be the time for other observations and pictures.
