December: Each class (or pupil) adopts a country in the World Cup finals. December -June: Research country, traditions, culture, food, geographical facts, football team etc June: Display research (powerpoints, word documents, songs etc) and upload photos and documents to eTwinning.

  • Subjects: Citizenship, Cross Curricular, Geography, Language and Literature, Physical Education
  • Languages: EN
  • Pupil's age: 11 - 16
  • Tools to be used: Chat, e-mail, Forum, MP3, Other software (Powerpoint, video, pictures and drawings), Virtual learning environment (communities, virtual classes, ...), Web publishing
  • Aims: Use the world cup to find out about other cultures and traditions
  • Work process: December: Class or pupil adopt a country. December-June: Research country, traditions, culture, food, geography etc June: Display results
  • Expected results: Pupils find out about other countries and find out about what other students around Europe have done also.
