The project deals with people creating a Nation: the pupils of the partner schools will investigate the life, ideals and deeds of people who strenghtened or created the national identity of a country. The core of the project is the belief that, despite the differences in countries and cultures, a Nation is born out of ideas, not out of violence or war.

The study will concentrate on historical events of the 19th and 20th century, with particular reference to the process of national unification or creation of a modern State. The different works will be uploaded and discussed in the TwinSpace. The chosen "national heros" will then be compared, in order to understand the common elements in the birth of a nation. At the end of the project, the students will create video(s) that will be distributed in their schools and discussed in their final examination. hide
