Elísabet Benónýsdóttir

I am an ICT coordinator in Hofsstadaskoli, Garðabær. My school ,Hofsstaðaskóli, is an elementary school for students from 6-12 years of age (1st.-7th grade). It has about 440 students and a teaching staff of 38. Other employees are 30. Our school is one of five elementary schools in a town called Garðabær which is located about 14 kilometers from the center of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. I am interested in finding projects that will help our students use and practice their language skills (english) and learn about other countries and cultures while sharing ours. I also think it is important for students to learn to use ICT skills in a positive and informative way. The projects can be of many types - am open to interesting ideas.

Project ideas
I would like my school to be in contact with other schools so my student's can practice their language skills and broaden their minds. They would get a chance to learn about children in other countries and learn about different cultures.
