I propose a small and simple project that could be an attractive way to celebrate the Day of Europe 9th May. Teachers and students from all the European countries can take part in it. A suggested title of the project is "SMILE AT ME". Teachers will take pictures of their smiling students and collect them in a collage. We'll have a really beautiful bouquet. Also I'd like us to make a simple video with children saying "Hello, Europe! Hello, friend!" in their own language in connection with the Day of Europe 9th May. It will take three and a half or four months, starting in the beginning of February and finishing in May.

Then we'll present our home towns and some key information about our countries. Next we'll try to make an audio or a video conference for students to experience the friendliness of their partners and then we will design posters with smiling students' pictures taken by the students themselves. In e-mails partners will exchange recipies and pictures or drawings of dishes so that they could present those dishes on the Day of Europe. And at the same time students will make short videos with them saying "Hello, Europe! Hello, friend!" in their own language thus greeting each partner on the Europe Day. hide
