Preschool is a ideal time to broaden and expand upon the child’s interests. At this age children make their first attempts at creativity and are beginning to organize their time around their interests. However, it is up to the child’s parents and teachers to ensure that this period is of lasting-value to the child. Which materials to use, how to go about creating something, how to behave in new situations are decisions which, to a large extent, rely on the guidance of the adult during this period of the child’s development..

The work created by parents with their children will be used by our teachers to build up a portfolio focusing on the children’s interests, allowing us to plan a series of activities adjusted to suit the child’s individual preferences, with the hope that this will lead to an increase in the child’s knowledge on the subject. hide
