Project : Women of the Mediterranean
We are pleased to enclose a short summery of our school project for the new school year 2007/2009-
It is a project whose aim is to show and analyze the social and cultural path that women carried out last century and have been still carrying out ,with sacrifice, to reach equal opportunities and rights. We would like all pupils to know these changes through photos and so we have created a section of our photo exhibition that will be devoted to INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION too and that has been and will be presented for the 2nd time to public and territorial ,regional and provincial authorities the day of the festivity of women.
Many European schools have participated in the 1st photo exhibition , it has been useful for a continuous exchange of personal information among pupils of different countries and all this has enriched their way of learning.
Project "Women of the Mediterranean"
Purposes: -
To educate people to feel themselves "citizens of the World.”
To educate to the equal opportunities
To educate to legality and solidarity.
objectives:
To know and value local traditions.
To recover historical memory and oral traditions through the history of the women.
To start a dialogue and a comparison with other cultures
Activity:
To search photos from 1900 to our days that may testify the evolution female role in society ,in family and in job.
To analyze in depth problems regarding social marginalization, exclusion from the world of work and lack of parity of the rights.
Final production:
photo exhibition from 8th March 2009 to 16 March 2009. Addressees:
Pupils, teacher, parents, grandfathers, secondary school of 1° degree "A. Chionna" - Lizzano (TA).

In this project we have the help of many schools in Europe and it will be useful to educate to EUROPE, TO MULTI DISCIPLINE , to improve the learning of all disciplines ,to improve the use of English language and ICT skills.
