Environmental education for children is critically important. Early environmental education experiences help shape children's values, perspectives, and understanding of the environment and how to interact with it. This region’s plants are important habitats that our animals depend on for survival. By protecting the beautiful character of the countryside we are protecting biodiversity. Species that are threatened often live in less than ideal situations, where various processes affect their ability to survive and reproduce. Conservation of plants, depend largely on the conservation of the ecosystem in which they occur and harnessing the knowledge of their existence and importance.
