The project concentrates on using in teaching new methods which are effective and attractive for students. Why not go beyond the walls of the school? Teachers cooperate, plan and share ideas of lessons outside the classroom, which are a part of ordinary school timetable. The topics of these lessons are related to curricula, integrate several subjects and include learning skills necessary for students.
Students cooperate and communicate using electronic devices and the Internet, work in groups, exchange their knowledge and enhance their social and intercultural skills including European dimension.
Each lesson was described by students and teachers in presentations including work process, outcomes, documentation (photos) and evaluation.
During lessons pupils solved concrete problems situated in typical context and environment.
GOAL is an example of Problem Based Learning project integrated in the school timetable and curriculum.

The main idea of the project was doing lessons outside the classroom. A collaborative agora of ideas was created: teachers shared their proposals, gave hints, enhanced collegues’ ideas and adjusted them to the own school possibilities and curricula. They finally set the timetable of the lessons and the main ICT tools for example GoogleDocs, Geogebra, TwinSpace, Skype, Flickr etc.
Teachers and students actively participated in planning and doing the lessons outside for example measurements, calculations and outcomes. For some lessons computer applets were used to help in calculations. Each lesson was described by students and teachers in presentations and enriched with photos and videos.
The lessons were evaluated and the project disseminated in every participating country. Students and teachers communicated in a wide range during the project: e-mails, chats, video-conferences; they shared documents and parcels.
The progress of the project was monitored and all products published in blog, public TwinSpace and school websites.
