Children are very interested in the world surrounding them. It´s the best age to reinforce lifelong learning skills about the natural environment and strategies for its conservation. This cross-curricular project will help pupils to learn about changes in the environment due to natural processes and also to human action. Pupils will observe local landscapes and weather at different times of the year and they will also take part in cultural events related to different seasons. They will observe and describe different natural processes. They will compare them with partner countries through drawings, bar graphs, pictures, videos, Power Point presentations and flash meetings. They will learn songs in native and English languages, have a taster in their partner languages by listening to songs and they will practice their reading skills through stories or poems related to seasonal topics.

• Work process: Each partner school will make an introducction in a Power Point presentation We´ll choose a month per term for children... read more Each partner school will make an introducction in a Power Point presentation We´ll choose a month per term for children to observe the weather, take note everyday and represent it in a bar graph. Report these results through a flash meeting and compare them with a partner school. Children will take pictures of our landscape on a sunny/cloudy/rainy/snowy… day and put them in a picture gallery to be comprared too. We ´ll also exchange cultural and seasonal events through Power Point presentations, videos, pictures… Children wil work on different activities about natural processes and actions for natural conservation: drawings, descriptions, stories and poems, art work ... and exchange them with a partner school. They´ll also sing songs related and record them on video to share with the other school. hide
