The project promotes use of computer supported collaborative learning for mathematics and aims ENHANCING SPATIAL IMAGINATION OF YOUNG STUDENTS using computer 3D applications. The creation of a school network also aims at better focusing the didactic aspects of the use of free mathematical software in collaborative school activities, involving other scientific disciplines. The tasks of the teacher group involved in the project has been to use computer applications based on Elica and to stimulate the students’ creativity to let them choose and construct their own 3D object individually and together. Thus, the students’ personal creative ability has been and will be an asset. We will use applications like Cubix Editor, Slider, Potter Wheel and Math Wheel - a subset of DALEST applications developed in Elica - a modern Logo implementation providing tools for real-time 3D animation of user-programmable objects The teachers will encourage students to construct 3D objects and study their properties using Elica applications. The most interesting investigations will be published. http://www.ucy.ac.cy/dalest/ www.elica.net
