I am interested both mathematical research and mathematics education. I have more than 10 years teaching experience at the university level as a teaching assistant and lecturer in Canada and the United States. I hold a PhD degree in mathematics (research area: combinatorics) as well as a postdoctoral degree. I have worked in mathematics education at the University of Toronto and have been involved in a variety of projects that were designed to improve the mathematical proficiency of students entering university and other mathematical support programs. I was also a fellow of the NexT programme of the Mathematical Association of America. Currently, I teach mathematics in Botosani, Romania at an elementary school and I am involved in the Excellence Program Centre in mathematics.

I've been teaching English from 3rd graders to 12th graders for about 12 years and been enjoying it all throughout. I'm thinking about setting up a project or becoming part of one which will allow my students and I to get to know other people, countries, cultures and cross the barriers of language. My main interests are Citizenship, Language and Literature, Foreign Languages, Psychology and Religion. We have previous experience in developing and even coordinating Comenius projects. I am interested in starting a new project on developing students' creativity and increasing their chances of finding a good job on the job market. The project should involve the use of the latest technologies and should focus on developing students' skills in order to facilitate their integration in the job market.
