I am the headteacher of a comprehensive school in Italy, near Venice. The school comprizes two nursery schools, two primary and a lower secondary. There about 600 students in our school, aged from 3 to 14. We are innovating our curriculum by bringing in the European dimension in areas such as science, citizenship, languages (French and English), sports and geography/history.
We are looking for potential partners who would like to work with us, either in a Comenius multilateral partnership or just as e-twinners.

MY PROJECT IDEA: This year we will read in class, the novel "Heart" by Edmondo De Amicis, Italian writer in 1800. I'm looking for a class with other countries to share the contents of the book in the original languages ​​of translation. We could organize a website with drawings, captions and comments of our students with powerpoint files or other formats. My pupils are 9 years old but we are willing to share the project with students of other ages. Procedures to be defined in the planning stage. IDEA DI PROGETTO: Quest'anno leggeremo in classe il romanzo "Cuore" di Edmondo De Amicis, scrittore italiano del 1800. Sto cercando una classe di altre nazioni o italiana con la quale condividere i contenuti del libro, anche nei linguaggi di traduzione. Potremmo organizzare un sito web con commenti, pensieri, disegni, didascalie dei nostri studenti, sia attraverso l'utilizzo di Powerpoint che di altri formati elettronici. I miei alunni hanno 9 anni ma il progetto è aperto anche a classi di altri ordini di scuola che vogliano condividere e crescere con noi attraverso i significati sempreverdi di questo libro. Le procedure progettuali saranno definite in fase di programmazione. THE TEACHER I teach in a fourth grade class in a primary school in Campalto, a little country in the Venice District. I teach many subjects: Italian, maths, science, art and design, computer and physical education and English in a first grade class. I'm improving my English. To become a primary school teacher I attended a five years course. I also have a degree in law and a good knowledge of computers (I have IT qualification). I think I am an active and dynamic person with a lot of interests and hobbies. I think that school is the right place for exchanging ideas, that's why I would like get in touch with other educational systems. My goal is to improve my teaching by comparing differents approches and school systems and to motivate my pupils with new activities. Last but not least I really hope to have new experience and help to become a more aware European citizen, to improve my English, and to testimony the Italian culture abroad.
