Subjects: Cross Curricular,Foreign Languages,Geography Languages: - EN - RO - Come and meet the wonders of nature! It is a project based on the environment. It should include activities which actually bow in front of the wonders of nature as well as activities which include the protection of everything that means green in a word of nature. there can be open air activities as we have the Black sea and the Danube Delta close to us, but also activities done in the classrooms to make the children aware of the problems the nature has to face. If you like the idea join in to have some fun and to actually do something. |

Subjects: Cross Curricular,Health Studies,Mathematics / Geometry Languages: - EN - I have been teaching mathematics for 23 years. At this time, I'm teaching for 5th, 8th, 9th and 11th form. I am master for a 9th form class, informatics profile. I am fond of my work and I am trying to give my students - if not the passion - at least the interest and necessary efficiency in operating with matematical knowledge. Besides that, in consensus with the on-going developments in our social and economical life, students seem to be more and more interested in the practical implementation of the theories they learn about in school. One major problem of the education systems is flexibility and updating and the demand for both is present as we speak. Observing this, I decided to react. At first I have tried to use education classes by picking - from the recommended areas - the appropriate subjects for this purpose - to help students make connection between theory and real life. A series of articles I published concerning the connection between mathematics and the facts of life helped me innitiate a project based on a new official concept - inter-disciplinary approach! Apart from the fact that my project was fully and officially recognised by the Ministry of Education, we had the permission to implement this project as an optional discipline in our highschool. I have been teaching trans-disciplinary optional classes for 3 years now and many students who were involved in such projects won local and national prizes. My students manifest enthosiasm and preference for these optional classes and projects. They are challenging as they put to value various knowledge (acquired both by formal and informal education - that is in school or outside school) and assemble it together into more complex formulas that can actually answer to basic and practical questions of life. It is all based on a philosophy of continuous learning, understanding and reacting, thus rendering our students the capacity to integrate an overall view over all demands of life and the ways to succesfully meet these demands. It is also preferred by students for its social value - they work on flexible program in larger or smaller groups, confronting personalities and get training from teachers in various specialties. Access is grunted to media, IT equipment and consultation with specialists in various professions. We were very succesfull with projects that combined mathematics, biology, chemistry, ecology or music in defining ways for better adaptation and preservation of human health. Based on this succesful approach, I estimate that development of a trans-disciplinary project by etwinning connexion would be received with great interest by students, as well as by potential partners. Further details on the practical implementation of such projects will be gladly forwarded to our potential partners. |
