I am a teacher of English and teach general English and ESL. Project idea: With the help of YouTube, students can teach each other and learn from each other how to prepare typical national and regional dishes of the participating countries. Students record the preparation and cooking phases of the national dishes in English and/or in German, which will be shared on YouTube with other students in the participating schools. By watching the recordings, the ‘other’ students will try to prepare the dishes in their school’s practice kitchens, which will be again recorded. Online cook book will be prepared from the chosen dishes supported by links to YouTube.

Our school is a vocational secondary school with trade profiles in commerce, catering and logistics. Students study English and German as a foreign language, their CEF levels are varied between A2-B1, only few can speak, read and write at B2 level. Project subjects could be gastronomy, arts, multiculturalism, environment and sustainability.
