New faces, new projects, new opportunities. How are you going to get involved in eTwinning in the new school year?

We hope you had relaxing holidays and that your mind is fresh and ready to start the 2011-2012 school year because eTwinning is ready for you! Over the summer, the eTwinning team has worked hard to prepare an ambitious agenda for the new school year. While planning your class work, have a look at how you can integrate eTwinning in both your classroom and personal professional development.

What’s on the agenda to start?

  • eTwinning Weeks 2011: During the entire month of October, eTwinners will be invited to kick off the new school year through various activities aimed at fostering mentorship within the eTwinning community.
  • European Quality Labels: The yearly round of European Quality Labels will be announced at the end of September - beginning of October.
  • eTwinning Prizes 2011: eTwinners will be invited to submit their 2010-2011 eTwinning projects in the pan-European competition in October. Remember: to participate, you must have a European Quality Label. Read more
  • Learning Events: A new set of Learning Events is ready for this autumn! Take a look at the calendar and register through your Desktop!

NEW! Pupil certificate!
In order to also give recognition to your pupils for their commitment and hard work in eTwinning projects, a special National Quality Label certificate template for your pupils is now available. From the same location in your Desktop, a second icon for your pupils will appear if you have been awarded a National Quality Label. The certificate will have your project’s name so that you can then add your pupils’ names by hand.

Finally, don’t forget to check what your National Support Service is doing for this new school year. They have likely prepared plenty of activities for you to get the new school year rolling!

We wish you all the best for the 2011-2012 school year!
