Talking about creativity in teaching

picture

The results of a questionnaire on creativity in teaching were presented at the closing conference of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation from 16-17 December in Stockholm.

Earlier this autumn, a questionnaire - developed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education and Culture, in collaboration with the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) and European Schoolnet – was put out to teachers across Europe on the subject of creativity and innovation in teaching.

Over the course of just one month, the questionnaire was answered by over 12 000 teachers from all across Europe. The results have been analysed and were presented during the closing conference of the 2009 European Year of Creativity and Innovation in December.

About the conference

Create. Innovate. Grow - Closing Conference of European Year of Creativity and Innovation

The closing conference of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, held in Stockholm under the auspices of the Swedish presidency of the European Union, highlighted good examples of what has happened within the EU during the Year of Creativity and Innovation.

The conference also offered a meeting place for policy-makers active in these fields beyond 2009. It aimed to encourage continued and strengthened work within different sectors and beyond traditional sector boundaries at different levels of decision-making.
