Share your science projects and ideas with STELLA
STELLA is an interactive and multilingual web portal for people involved in science education who want to communicate experiences, cooperate, exchange ideas and thoughts on teaching methods and approaches. |
The STELLA project (Science Teaching in Lifelong Learning Approach), is funded with support from the European Commission within the Lifelong Learning Programme. It aims to contribute to the innovation of science education in Europe by inspiring teachers and experts to communication and exchange ideas and experiences on teaching methods, science projects at school and good practices in science education. 1. Include your eTwinning science project in the STELLA catalogue! Catalogue: www.stella-science.eu/catalogue.php The European catalogue of science education initiatives contains initiatives realised in schools all over Europe, directly included online by teachers or educators who have planned or managed them. Through the catalogue, you can present your initiatives to colleagues of all over Europe and at the same time have a look at what is done in other schools and countries. The most interesting practices will be highlighted also in the Pool of Good Practices, included in the final STELLA publication – the Handbook on "Innovative practices in science education for European schools" – and promoted across Europe. eTwinners are invited to submit their favourite initiatives and projects to the STELLA catalogue using an online questionnaire. In the questionnaire you will find multiple choice questions to describe the most important aspects of your initiative and a free space to describe it with your own words. It is available in all the STELLA languages: English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Bulgarian. 2. Get inspiration from STELLA resources and tools! Multimedia tools: www.stella-science.eu/multimedia_tools.php A set of multimedia tools for transferability includes a number of tools and mini-units developed to give suggestions to teachers on the use of different applications like Powerpoint, blogs, video, discussion forums and eTwinning; as well as Web 2.0 applications such as YouTube, Wikipedia, Flickr, Myspace and Del.icio.us. The objective is to support the work of teachers and school classes in science education projects and promote the divulgation of project practices and results. Try out the STELLA multimedia tools for transferability and document your initiative by means of PPT presentations, videos and blogs and find new ways to support your project through other Web 2.0 applications. The results of your work will be attached to the grid of your initiative in the STELLA catalogue, thus allowing you to share your work with colleagues and experts across Europe. 3. Get involved in the STELLA network! The STELLA network also offers various types of communities and online forums for science teachers to share and discuss ideas and practice.
