Global Junior Challenge 2009

If you think your eTwinning project is worthy of a global award, be sure to enter it in this prestigious international competition!

 

The 5th edition of the Global Junior Challenge has now been launched. The competition aims to reward the innovative use of modern technologies in training, education, solidarity and international cooperation.

Promoted by the City of Rome, is an initiative designed and organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to promote an inclusive knowledge society. It is a unique opportunity to reflect on the importance of the challenges facing education in the 21st century and the role of technology in social integration, development and the demise of poverty worldwide.

The 2009 Global Junior Challenge, takes place during the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, and will therefore feature a special category on “Creativity and Social Innovation”. The other two main topics are: the fight against the Digital Divide and the innovative use of new technologies in education and training of youngsters.

Eligible projects must demonstrate that they have been working since 31 December 2008 promoting the use of ICT in education and training of youngsters. The deadline for submission is 31 July 2009.
