Collaborative drawings: pupils draw together across borders
Have your pupils get to know their new project partners by taking part in an online collaborative drawing competition. |
Using an easy and free online drawing tool, such as www.imaginationcubed.com, pupils can create collaboration drawings with their partners. Exceptional drawings can be submitted on the eTwinning Teachers’ Blog where external experts will then evaluate them.
The proposed tool is simple and fun and is a great way to get your pupils working together. It also includes a chat box for pupils to discuss while working on their drawing. You can of course use other tools as well, such as Tux Paint and Microsoft Paint and exchange illustrations as you work on them.
How to participate? - Choose an online tool and do a test run with your eTwinning partner(s).
- Arrange for your pupils to pair up with their partners to create a collaborative project.
- Post the drawing or link on the eTwinning Teachers’ Blog under the ‘collaborative drawing competition 2009’ category (for Imagination Cubed, send the drawing to yourself by email to receive a link to replay the creation of the drawing.) Be sure to include teachers’ full names, pupils’ first names (do not use pupils’ surnames for e-safety reasons) and partner school names.
Here’s an example.
At the end of the eTwinning Weeks, the best collaborative drawing will be featured on the eTwinning Portal and the pupils involved will receive digital drawing pad.
