eTwinning Code of Conduct
| By registering on the eTwinning Portal you agree on the basic principle that eTwinning is a Community of teachers based on trust and cooperation.
|
The eTwinning team advise you to: - Ensure that the pictures and the files you upload (on your Profile and in the Resources area) do not infringe any copyright. In particular, make sure that you do not post pictures of pupils who may be recognised.
- When posting a comment on another eTwinner’s Profile, ensure that your comment is relevant to the original post. Inappropriate comments are not permitted and are subject to reporting.
- Be sure that messages you post in forums are consistent with the topic of the forum. Cross-posting (posting the same message in more than one forum) is not permitted.
- Refrain from sending too many messages via the internal messaging system to teachers with whom you are not working. They may be considered as spam.
- Make sure you have a reasonable and manageable number of contacts in your list.
- Ensure that your work in the projects in which you are participating is based on mutual collaboration.
- Avoid asking to be part of your contacts without any previous communication, to be sure that you are indeed interested in becoming contacts.
- Limit the number of members participating to your projects to the strictly necessary to make the project a success.
- Decide on an approximate maximum number of partners before registering a project and refrain from inviting any additional partners if this has not been discussed and agreed with your other partners.
- Limit your participation to projects to a reasonable number in which you can actively participate.
- Before submitting an entry for the European eTwinning Prizes competition, ensure that you have the agreement of the founders of the project it relates to.
It is strictly prohibited to use eTwinning for commercial purposes. Any company, initiative, event or software with a commercial intent will be removed, as will their access to the Portal itself. The eTwinning team cares about eTwinners and will make sure that any abuse of the above code of conduct is not tolerated.
