This project is a multilateral Comenius schoolproject and will be about the inclusion of minorities in Europe. We will concentrate on investigations about religious and ethnic minorities as well as disabled people. Participating countries are Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Finland.

• Aims: We would like to give the students the opportunity to: • learn about the way in which in various European countries... read moreWe would like to give the students the opportunity to: • learn about the way in which in various European countries minorities are dealt with • see whether there is inclusion of “other people” in society and if so compare the situation in their own country with that in other countries • get a better understanding between the partaking countries and so take away possible ignorance and prejudices and avoid international conflicts • understand that cultural diversity provides variety, colour and richness and that this variety must be seen as advantages and not as disadvantages in relations between people with different backgrounds. • Work process: We want the students to be aware of the existing minorities in European societies and of the problems these minorities... read moreWe want the students to be aware of the existing minorities in European societies and of the problems these minorities encounter in their societies. We want the students to work on diminishing these problems and to develop a positive attitude towards social inclusion of all kinds of minorities. We want students to study the everyday life of the minorities and the problems they encounter. We want them to search for solutions for their problems. We think, we can achieve this by bringing the students into close contact and discussion with the minorities and let them work together in finding solutions. The best written results may be published as a brochure or a book or will be used to design a calendar for 2013/2014.
