Second present: My favourite tree. From January to April.
- Teachers explain about local trees first. Teachers distribute the trees in their area to the different students. Each student makes a file about their tree. The Spanish school is visiting the Botanic garden with the biology teachers and English teachers. Our language assistants would come with us. The German students will choose a tree in their area to do their files.
The file should include several pictures: one of the whole tree with a person as a reference in the picture, another of the tree where you can see where in the city or countryside it is placed, the final picture of the leaf or/and flower.
- Spanish students who travel to London next spring 2012 will also make a file about trees in London. They would have to include the information in their trip notebook. After the trip, they will prepare a presentation and upload it to the twinspace.
- The German teacher will hopefully be in London on the same days. We shall exchange physical etwinning presents there.
- The file format would be the result of the common work of all the participating areas with the help of our language assistants. We will do it in English. Biology teachers will decide the main format. Maths teachers will include questions about the geometrical shapes of the chosen tree. The art teachers will advise students on the best way to shoot the pictures.
- All the files will take part in a contest and we will exhibit them at the schools. Prizes will be awarded.
- The files will be part of an album.
3. My class performances. From December to May.
Each school performs the plays at their school, each school records them with a video camera and upload them to the twinspace. Our language assistants have recorded the plays in MP3 so students can practise the pronunciation and rhythm of the sentences in class and at home. Parents and other classes will attend the performances.
