Operation Europe: communicating in English Your pupils' mission, if they accept it, is to participate in Operation Europe, a friendship-building program aimed at encouraging kids to communicate in English with people from absolutely every other European country. They can earn points each time they can prove that they communicate in English with a new person. They also earn points if they manage to maintain a long-term friendship with regular exchanges. Finally, they earn points for each new means of communication that they manage to use (direct contact, etwinning, letters, e-mails, phone calls, etc.). The project will last until the end of March. Then the French pupils will prepare a presentation of their contacts for their parents and friends. The winning team with earn a reward and we will enjoy a buffet of European specialties made with the recipes that our new friends will have shared with us. You can do the same in your school. So, Mission Impossible, or not?
