Subjects: Primary School Subjects Languages: - EN - FR - IT - E-twinning Project Children learn having fun INTRODUCTION Knowing, protecting, giving value, and keeping own landscape by • introducing it to foreign peoples • communicating in other languages • getting to know Europe • being European Community citizens AIMS 1. promoting the knowledge of own country, by starting from the innate children curiosity, in order to understand similarities and differences with other countries, cultures and languages, in a discovery and comparison atmosphere. 2. favouring the natural children tendency to make friends and socialize in order to involve them in discovering supporting and keeping the European culture. 3. using all the multimedia resources of this District in order to promote the twinning with the European Schools interested in pursuing the same ideals of individual and collective growing. 4. promoting the knowledge of uses and costumes of other countries by using various, funny and involving methodologies. 5. motivating the children so that the cultural exchanges may become a long-lasting and enriching experience SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES 1. Training the children to be open-minded and appreciate the diversity value. 2. putting the pupils in contact with other countries class-groups, favouring new friendship relations by exchanging own experiences, living the relations with empathy, solidarity, respect, reciprocity, initiative and collaboration attitude. 3. using the new technologies and some European languages (English and French) in the exchanges with foreign schools. 4. Promoting the cognitive patrimony widening through new experiences and new contacts far from the family and domestic context. 5. Recognizing and using the news technologies in order to relate to the others. 6. Making the school interact with various contexts in order to give value to original teaching approaches. 7. Picking a rare professional opportunity of comparison and updating and contributing to transfer quality teaching approaches. CONTENT S AND ACTIVITIES • Communications mostly by electronic means • Exchange of information, materials, products and se on with our partners. • Meeting among the involved pupils • Development of topics related to the scholastic curriculum • Cross-curricular topics: e.g. intercultural, education, ecology, peace, legality and European citizenship matters. • Other topics chosen in agreement with the European partners TIME This project will develop in several school-years. |
